Excellent documentary
I'm normally wary of religious fanatics and early on I questioned what kind of person this man really was. By the end you know he's a good man trying to defend his family. The story is heartbreaking. They move to the middle of nowhere to be left alone and almost immediately they end up having to fight off a gas company wanting to drill on their land. It turns out Canada is even worse than the United States and you have no real property rights. If an oil or gas company wants to drill on your land they have every right to do so and they don't owe you a cent of compensation. They managed to keep them off their land but to thumb their nose at the family the company drilled all around them including up wind and a short distance from their property. The family had animals die and five or six stillborn babies. They had to flee several times due to chemical fumes and everyone including the children got sick.
