Rose & Katz

Timeless inter-generational love story
Don't let the DVD box cover art fool you. This little gem is in living color with beautiful production values and family values, too. It all goes down in a non-preachy narrative with recognizeable actors in strong portrayals. Getting inside the head of an adolescent at the crossroads of the rest of his life takes sensitivity and humor. Happily, the filmmakers succeeded on both fronts. Short, sweet, yet impactful. I highly recommend "Rose & Katz."

Rose & Katz
I stumbled upon this charming story of a grandfather who wants to be bar mitzvahed with his 13-year-old grandson. What gets in the way is something so unexpected and original, I didn't see it coming. The actors are all top notch and recognizable from other films and TV. This is not a religious story. Ultimately, it is a love story about family and learning how to be a man.
